Can Clay makes World's Largest VCP Jacking PipeOver 3,100 tons of jacking strength - 48" DiameterMay 6, 1997 -- Can Clay Corporation, Cannelton, Indiana, USA Through the rapid development efforts Can Clay announced that it is manufacturing it's DENLOK® vitrified clay jacking pipe in sizes up to and including DN1200, 48" (1200 mm) nominal inside diameter and to lengths of 10 ft (3 m). This resulted from the efforts of the company's product developement team headed by Paul Champion, vice president. The company manufactured the machinery required for making and handling the 4 ton monster pipe. The jacking strengths are thought to be the world's strongest for any comparable size jacking pipe made of any type of material. The 48" DN1200 has a jacking strength of over 3,100 tons. The joint is a combination of stainless steel applied to a precision machined and recessed shoulder with high performance EPDM rubber seals. (Click here for Houston project slide show)
